The statue of Mary of Kevelaer surrounded by medallions. This artwork comes from the former Mary altar of the 19th-century Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Utrecht, which closed in 1972. The medallions were made in 1887 by the studio of Frederich Wilhelm Mengelberg (1837-1919). The statue of Mary has stood in the cathedral since 1992. On 27 October 2002, the Mary chapel was consecrated.
Address: Lange Nieuwstraat 36, 3512 PH Utrecht.
