Mary-
Room

Nativity scene

To find a safe haven in a world constantly unsettled by dynamics and now feeling restricted by imposed measures. Where is there a safe place where it is peaceful? After some searching, hopefully, such a place can be found. However, on that dark Christmas night, it was different for Mary and Joseph.

For Mary and Joseph, there was no room at the inn. This reminds me of the times we have to live in now. No room at Christmas is a current issue here due to all sorts of restrictions imposed from above. This dark period is long-lasting and palpably uncertain.

I am standing by the Nativity scene. There is much future lying in the manger. This future shows a light. I look at Mary. She lowers her gaze slightly, allowing her to see only her newborn Son. My heart begins a dialogue, and this dialogue needs no limitations. Vaccination comes to mind. This is set to happen for millions. Standing by the Nativity scene makes me realise there is light at the end of the tunnel.
