at Lourdes a prayer
feels special

So very close
at the effigy
of the woman
has appeared
is worshipped is revered
is entrusted with much
in reserved prayers
of millions of pilgrims
from countless strokes
from many countries

they pray standing
Sitting kneeling lying
and also walking

bidden doen pelgrims
in Lourdes overall
hands are clasped
lifted and spread

at the cave
often closed
strictly focused
On the screen
Immaculate Conception
in a renowned niche
