On Heilig Bloedlaan, near number 297, stands the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, dating from 1696. The initiator was Andreas Theunis (+1723), parish priest, dean, and canon of St. Catherine's Church in Hoogstraten, and also rector of the Latin school there.
On 21 April 1696, Maria Gabriëla de Lalaing (c.1640-1709), Countess of Hoogstraten (1691-1709) and also of Rennenberg and Salm, laid the first stone. Libert Fabri, who also realised the beguinage chapel in Hoogstraten, was responsible for the construction of the chapel. On 20 June 1696, the elegant chapel was completed.
On a stone, beneath the effigy of Our Lady, is inscribed the text:

In 1931, a flowerbed was laid out next to the chapel. The chapel is one of the most special chapels in Flanders.
