The Chapel of Our Lady on the Oudenberg is particularly famous for the cycling races on the "Muur van Geraardsbergen". The chapel displays many expressions of gratitude to Mary, as its walls are completely filled with mementos from believers. Since the chapel's renovation in 1906, it has become a smaller version of the Basilica of Scherpenheuvel. People visit the chapel daily, and on days when cyclists pass, it becomes incredibly busy with visitors. Every day, services are also held in this beautiful, elevated, small house of prayer.
