As a conclusion to the month of May, there will be a procession on the last day of Mary's Month. On 31 May, pilgrims will gather at the Church of the Annunciation, located at Onze-Lieve-Vrouwestraat 107, 4735 AA Zegge.
The programme is:
6:45 PM: praying the rosary
-7:00 PM eucharist service
- a procession through the streets near the church and the opposite pilgrimage chapel of Our Lady of the Seal.
The procession is opened by a cross bearer, followed by the local drum band. Behind them come pilgrims, clergy, participants with banners, and the highlight is the carried statue of Mary. During the procession, prayers are said and many a Marian hymn is sung.
After a half-hour tour, the closing ceremony takes place in the square next to the church, where there will be singing, prayers, and a word of thanks. The final part of the gathering is the singing of the song “Our Lady of Brabant”.
