Promises

Maria gave the Rosary to Dominicus de Guzmán, also known as Dominicus of Osna (1170-1221), founder of the Dominicans, as a weapon to combat the heresy of the Albigenians. This happened in 1214. She also made him 15 promises if the Rosary is prayed. Alanus de Rupe, also called Alain de la Roche (1428-1475), is also a Dominican. He receives visions from Mary in 1460, which also impart 15 promises to him.
