October is the month of the Rosary, meaning the tenth month of the calendar year is dedicated to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. It was Pope Leo XIII who established the Marian character of the Rosary for the month of October. He asked the faithful to dedicate the entire month of October to the Queen of the Rosary. The Pope emphasised that devotion to the Queen of the Rosary had helped people overcome adversities and opposition, such as in times of violence, corruption, and disasters.
