Sittard also has a monastery chapel, located at the foot of the Kollenberg, the last spur of the Ardennes. Here, at number 2, is the Retreat House Regina Carmeli. The activities of the Retreat House include offering faith courses, holding retreats, and organising reflection meetings and de-stress days. Overnight accommodation is also available. Furthermore, there are rooms for conferences and meetings, for example. The complex, with its monastery and retreat house, has been extended several times. The monastery was built in 1925. In 1963, the large monastery chapel was built, which was altered in 2006. There is also a Lourdes chapel on the complex.

In the monastery chapel, the German Anna Maria Tauscher van den Bosch (1855-1938) was buried in 1987. She is the persevering foundress of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus. In 2006, Anna Maria Tauscher van den Bosch, as Maria-Teresa of St. Joseph, was beatified.
On the corner of Kollenberg and Akerweg stands a field chapel from 1825 dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, which was restored in 2007.
At the top of the Kollenberg, at a height of 97 metres, stands the Saint Rosa Chapel, which was built in 1675 in honour of Saint Rose of Lima. In 1675, an epidemic in Sittard was stopped through the intercession of Saint Rose. Saint Rose is the patron saint of Sittard.
