The St. Peter's Church is located at Kerkstraat 24 in the centre of Uden in Brabant. Construction of the church began in 1887 under the supervision of building priest Antonius Spierings (1835-1918). The priest, who came from Oss, was active in Uden between 1880 and 1918. The architect of the building was Carl Weber (1820-1908). The church was consecrated in 1890 by the Brabant bishop Adrianus Godschalk (1819-1892) from ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
The Chapel of Mary is in the church near the entrance. The statue of Mary is particularly endearing. Mary and the infant Jesus are crowned and wear red clothing. A long, white veil surrounds Mary and her Son.
The parish of St. Peter has placed the necessary information on www.parochiesintpetrus.nl. The church is a national heritage site.
