Waasmont (Landen) – Church of Saint Pancras

The St. Pancras Church was built around 1760 in the Classicist style using brick and natural stone. The place of worship is part of a unique, walled castle complex with a farm, church, and castle. The church features Romanesque windows and was extended in 1903. Saint Pancras of Rome (289-304) is the patron saint of confirmands. He is invoked against restless and crying children. Pancras is one of the four Ice Saints, with his feast day on 12 May. The other Ice Saints are Mamertus – 11 May, Servatius – 13 May, and Boniface – 14 May.
